Built at over 1700 ft elevation, on a property with a 27 acre pond, it was designed to create a sanctuary for its occupants and their extended family and friends in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.

The wind howls and the snow blows at this latitude and elevation but the robust insulation and air sealing for the home makes it cozy even through the coldest, windiest evenings. The home’s many connected peaks relate to the rolling hills and mountains of Vermont. Views of these mountains are enjoyed to the west and on a clear day one can even catch a glimpse of Jay Peak.

In the summer, the fields around the home are replete with wildflowers and the bird watching is great!
