Blaney Road DER

residential  i  deep energy retrofit  i  renovation

This tidy 100 year old farm house had survived a fire on its second floor and had been re-purposed as a one story home. The following years took their toll and the structure needed to be re-imagined and re-invigorated.

We started with a small addition to create a welcoming kitchen, mudroom and dining space. Then we set to repairing and renewing the old house.

Garland Mill sourced lovely re-claimed birch tongue and groove flooring and a variety of other natural materials to renovate this lovely house. With a small addition to rejuvenate the home for the next 100 years of its life, a wonderful young family moved in upon completion and have been injecting life into it ever since.
