Sheffield Barn

A young family bought a beautiful property on a high ridge in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont with a large pond and a beautiful maple orchard. Birders, they envisioned a modern version of a classic Vermont barn to house a garage, charging station, woodshop, office, kitchenette and some guest sleeping arrangements. In addition, the barn roof would house a 19 kW array and shelter 3 batteries to provide power and back-up for the barn and the house that was to come.

The office has a great window that frames a few majestic maple trees to the east and a sweet little Wittus wood stove. Reclaimed birch floors upstairs and a diptych view of the field and maple orchard to the west complete this lovely getaway.
