Twin Mountain Net Zero

Net Zero retirement home, designed to super insulation standard. On our first site visit we walked the boundary of the property and collected 31 ticks between the three of us! Undaunted, the homeowners moved from the Midwest and took up residence in a nearby apartment to be present for construction. They maintained a healthy snack fridge for the crew which made everyone very happy, and took meticulous pictures of the process. The home boasts a stepless entry and covered porch between the house and garage and a connection to a wood storage porch that allows the owners to get wood for the stove in their slippers (!) Homeowners split and stacked ten cords of wood from the clearing of the site. They still haven’t used it all. Three lovely cats and the owners enjoy the warmth of the stove on cold winter nights.
