Cohos Trail Shelter
This fall the Garland Mill hosted a gathering for the Timberframers Guild. Timberframers from all over the eastern United States and Canada converged at our mill to learn and help out. The project that was planned for the occasion was to build a trail-side sleeping shelter for the Cohos Trail. During that weekend many people helped layout and cut timbers using Glen Dodge’s scribe method. After the event was over Glen Dodge, members of the Garland Mill team, and many volunteer timberframers continued work on the project. The completed frame is now resting for the winter at the mill. It will be put up at its intended location and enclosed next summer.
