Sawing Season
With the early arrival of spring and a fresh charge of local pine, we are excited to start the 2010 sawing season. As close as we can figure it is the mill’s 155th season. Typically we saw pine in the spring and again in the fall. The water is higher in these months because of snowmelt and the trees in the watershed are using a fraction of the water they consume in the summer months. This timing also provides optimal drying conditions for the timbers and boards we produce.
